MBGLL's Community Lacrosse Program

 

1st Year - Head & Ass't* Coach’s Requirements

  • ​Rules Session (online or in person)
  • US Lacrosse Level 1 Certification

* Assistant Coaches have two (2) years to meet these standards.  In the first year, they should complete the USA Lacrosse Level 1 coaches' certification course, the Positive Coaching Alliance Double Goal Coach 1 course, and a rules session.

 

2nd Year - Head & Ass't Coach's Requirements

  • Rules Session (online or in person)

*  Assistant coaches should complete their USA Lacrosse Level 1 coaches' certification.

 

3rd Year - Head & Ass't Coach's Requirements 

  • Rules Session (online or in person)
  • PCA Double-Goal Coach 2 (online)

 

4th Year - Head & Ass't Coach's Requirements

  • Rules Session (online or in person)

 

5th Year - Head & Ass't Coach's Requirements

  • Rules Session (online or in person)

 

6th Year - Head & Ass't Coach's Requirements

  • Rules Session (online or in person)

 

Junior Coach's Compliance Requirements

  • US Lacrosse Level 1 Coach's clinic (online)
  • Rules Session (online or in person)
  • PCA - Double-Goal Coach 1 (online)

 

Parent Helper Standard Requirements

A Parent Helper helps coaches organize team movement. Duties may include communication to parents regarding practice times, helping players focus on the game, getting girls into the substitution box, and perhaps even shagging balls. Parent helpers do not coach the team or lead practices.

Requirements:

* MBGLL Coach's Registration

* Wear parent helper card

* US Lacrosse membership

* Positive Coaching Alliance, DG1 course

 

 
MBGLL's Select Program 

 

Head and Ass't Coach’s Requirements
 

  • Satisfy all requirements for MBGLL's Community Lacrosse Program plus
  • Attend the US Lacrosse/MBGLL Rules Certification course (not the Q. & A. session)

 

Notes

  • All head and assistant coaches should wear a coach's card when in the team bench area.
  • If a coach has already completed the requirements, s/he simply needs to submit completion certification to the division director.
  • New programs have 2 years to obtain US Lacrosse Certification.  All other compliance requirements are mandatory.
  • All coaches must comply with state and federal requirements.
  • All coaches/helpers must register/sign the waiver on mbgll.org.
