Hello coaches. MBGLL is excited to offer so many wonderful training opportunities for you this year. Now is the time to register! The February training clinics are only two weeks away. Since some of the coach's training is mandatory, I'm sure that you coaches in the South and Metro West divisions won't want to miss the February sessions scheduled in the Franklin and Foxboro areas because they are located the closest to you and that means reduced driving times. Coaches MUST pre-register for all training sessions.

For US Lacrosse Level 1 and Level 2 Coach's clinics, register at www.uslacrosse.org.

For all other sessions, register at www.mbgll.org (under individual registrations)

Hello everyone. I am sending out a quick reminder that registration for the MBGLL Recreation Program closes this Sunday, January 15, 2012. So please make sure to register your teams by then.

Also, please make sure to link your town's League Athletics site to MBGLL. Instructions to do this are found on www.mbgll.org under "technology and blogs."

Happy New Year MBGLL members! January is a busy month for MBGLL as we are working to prepare for the upcoming season. Below are a few reminders…

Convention
January 13-15, 2012 – The US Lacrosse National Convention is taking place in Philadelphia this weekend. I highly recommend that you attend if you are able to. It is an incredible experience where you get to learn from top coaches. And, you can see the US team in action! If you are going to the convention and would like to meet some of MBGLL’s board members for dinner on Saturday night, please send an e-mail to director@mbgll.org .

Registrations
January 15, 2012 - Registration closes on January 15, 2012 for our recreation program. MBGLL is accepting credit card payments only. Please register your teams now to ensure that you are included in the game schedule. (www.mbgll.org)

January 15, 2012 – All towns using League Athletics must have linked their site with MBGLL by today. The link is needed so that we may create the schedule and assign your teams games. Instructions on how to link your town’s League Athletics site with MBGLL are listed on www.mbgll.org under “technology and blogs.”

January 16, 2012 – Late fee applies for any recreation program registrations starting today. Paying a late fee does not guarantee that you will receive a schedule.

MBGLL Select registration closes April 6, 2012. The last date to pay by check is March 6, 2012. Register your teams at www.mbgll.org.

Training
Registration for training is open. This year US Lacrosse is helping MBGLL to underwrite the cost of the Level 1 and Level 2 training clinics. For 2012, the fee for the Level 1 and Level 2 training classes is around $30 (slightly more for Level 2) so it is a terrific opportunity for coaches to complete their Sportsmanship and Compliance requirements. Register at www.uslacrosse.org.

Registration is open for all Positive Coaching Alliance, Rules Clinic, and Rules Q. and A. sessions. Please register on www.mbgll.org.

Registration is also open for umpire training. Please register on www.emwlua.org.

Volunteering
MBGLL is actively looking for volunteers to assist with ongoing initiatives. If you have an interest in volunteering, please contact director@mbgll.org.

If coaches and board members in your towns are not receiving this e-mail and would like to, please add them to our distribution list via this feature on our web site. If you are receiving this e-mail and are no longer involved with MBGLL, please let me know and I'll remove you from our mailing list.

I want to let everyone know that Johns Hopkins University is hosting a coach's training session in Acton on December 10, 2011. US Lacrosse is offering 5 Continuing Education Points to participants. Please see the flyer on our Lax Players Clinics, Camps, and Tryouts Blog (on www.mbgll.org under technology) for details and to register. Please note that MBGLL is not hosting this training.

As a reminder, team registrations are open. Coaches may also now register for the Positive Coaching Alliance, Rules Clinic, and Rules Q. and A. sessions.
